Grambling State University Volleyball

Abiola Wilson-Brigmon started her position at Grambling as Assistant Athletics Director for Academic Enhancement on June 1, 2017.

Wilson-Brigmon comes to Grambling from South Carolina State University having served as the Assistant Athletics Director for Student Athlete Development and Senior Women’s Administrator from October 2012 to May 2017. In this role she managed the budget for the athletics department, reported all financial and academic information to the NCAA, and was the liaison to the department of Academic Affairs and Finance. Other duties in this role included being the sports administrator oversight for 11 sports, advisor to the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and Title IX Coordinator.

From April 2008 to October 2012 Abiola worked as the Assistant Director of Admissions for Recruitment and Scholarships, and prior to that she served as the Business Manager to the Department of Student Affairs from October 2005 to March 2008. Wilson-Brigmon got her start as an assistant budget analyst in the Department of Business and Finance at South Carolina State University, where she worked from January to September 2005.

Born on the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean, Wilson-Brigmon migrated to the United States in 1999 to play college Volleyball in the city of New York.  She then earned a volleyball scholarship to the Division I South Carolina State University where she played Volleyball and Basketball for her final college years. There she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Finance at Claflin University in 2009.
